Exposé 10

I posted this a little while back sharing that I had been Shortlisted for the Exposé 10 book. Well I’m sooo excited to be sharing that I have been selected for publication :D Teenage self is very very happy :D
A little bit of shameless self indulgence. They live on an airship… it’s windy? XD

A WIP of a commission I’m doing. It’s relaxing to be working soley in pencil. I haven’t done that in a long long time.
Scanned a whole bunch of old sketches from various sketchbooks. I thought it was time to share.
Hark! A Vagrant:: Question for followers
Hey there!
Whenever I post a photo of artwork from someone, I make the photo itself a link back to that artist’s webpage, so you can discover more of their work! I am a firm believer in giving credit, all the time, where you can, not just saying ‘look at this cool pic.’ Artists deserve better!…
I never ever “heart” or “like” a picture unless proper credit is given. They pop up in my feed all the time, but dear followers, if you love something enough to share it with tumblr, please please do the artist/photographer/craftsperson the justice of having their name beside their own work so that your followers can go “oooh I like that, I wonder if the artist has more I might like”.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Ok.. so nothing really to do with the book but robot sheep complete with charging cable is an ammusing thing to think about.
The ‘Net is a waste of time, and that’s exactly what’s right about it.
Rachel Khoo from BBCs The Little Paris Kitchen. I’m not usually a food show person, but there was something about Rachel’s enthusiasm for food while she was talking that meant I just had to draw her. It’s been a long while since I tried to capture likeness and I think I did an ok job.
Pencil and Acrylic
Finished this a while back but somehow forgot to put it on tumblr :P
“The Cost of Desire” A symbolic Portrait of Lady Macbeth.
This image has been Shortlisted for the Exposé 10 Digital Art design annual, fingers crossed to actually making it in :D
Created in GIMP
Nothing too complicated, I’ve simply been learning how to do some super basic 3D modelling to enhance my graphic design. I hope now I’ve got a basic grasp of some techniques I can actually engage creative brain and make use of them :D
Wasn’t enough that you had to be 1,000,000 times more awesome at dolling than me. Gotta get in on my 3d modeling territory too, eh?
;p
I refuse to let any computer program beat me, and blender and I have had arguments for the passed week but I finally cracked what it’s meant to do tonight! But mostly I shalt be graphic designing in 3D, not actually 3D modelling, I’m not that masochistic yet… XD I do my modeling by hand with clay. You can keep the Cars n stuff.
My 3d modeling teacher said that if you can learn to make 3d logos it’s a good quick way to get money. :> Just passin that along.
Your 3D modelling teacher needs to put me in touch with some of these people who want this stuff. I’m playing with it to expand my repetoire as a designer because I’d quite like a job and apparently what I can do already isn’t enough, so the answer is “DO MORE” XD I did like one rly bad class on 3DSMax at uni, but now I’m using blender.. cos it’s free.. but I’m too creative to just go “oh look I followed the steps look what I made” (strike creative and write, likes to run before she can walk) I just start making and going “ok I have no idea how this programme works, lets see if I can break it!” I broke, and ragequit blender about 20 times today to get this simple logo, XD
